📚 Back-to-School Supplies & Wish List

As we get ready to kick off another exciting year at Discovery Adventures Preschool, I wanted to share our optional Back-to-School Supply List and a few items on our Classroom Wish List.

I try to be really mindful of both your time and budget, so I only ask for a few items—just the things we use most during the year. These supplies are optional, and there's never any pressure to contribute. But if you’re able to send something in, it truly makes a big difference and helps keep our classroom running smoothly!

✏️ Back-to-School Supply List:

  • 1" presentation binder (with a clear pocket on the outside)

  • Notebook (any size or design)

  • 3 or more boxes of crackers

  • 3 or more cans of fruit

  • A backpack (recommended for daily use)

These simple items help us stay organized, well-fed, and ready to dive into our preschool adventures!

🎨 Classroom Wish List

Some parents love to let their child choose an item at the store to donate to the classroom. And I always appreciate donations from families and neighbors of items they no longer need. If you’re clearing out your playroom or craft cabinet, we’d love to give your extras a second life in the classroom! Here are a few things we can always use:

Art Supplies:

  • Play-doh

  • Stickers

Office Supplies:

  • Printer paper (white and/or colored)

  • White cardstock (or any color!)

Cleaning Supplies:

  • Hand soap

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Clorox wipes

Centers & Rewards:

  • Small toys or trinkets

  • Kinetic sand or sensory materials

  • Educational toys and games

Thank you for all the ways you support your child and our classroom—whether it's donating a supply, reading the blog, or just showing up each day with a smile. I’m so lucky to spend my days learning and growing with your little ones!

Here’s to a joyful, creative, and connection-filled year ahead!

With gratitude,
Hillary
